Hello Everyone!

My name is Neng and I am a marketing student. I like everything about marketing so far! I originally came to Mid-State Technical College to pursue a degree in accounting, but realized half way through that it just wasn't for me. I wanted something that will allow me to be more creative…

My experience in marketing so far has been in sales. Over the summer I worked for a small accounting company out of Wisconsin Rapids and sold motorcycle batteries for their distribution side business. My boss wore a lot of hats. I personally don’t like bikes. I think it is too loud and I get winded easily, but my position as a Motobatt spokes model I was expected to know everything there is to know about bikes and batteries. I did a lot of research and it was one heck of a self-tought crash course. I found out that sales was a lot harder than I thought. I sold one battery all summer. I need to polish my sales pitch if I want to pursue a career in sales.

I also started a Multicultural club here on campus for students to get together and share their culture, beliefs, ideas and food with one another. So far it’s been interesting and I’ve learned a lot, but I need to add more to my mix if any of you want to join and share your ideas.

On my spare time when I am not busy with school and homework I’m at home on my laptop surfing the net or chilling with my puppy and my mini-me. Once and a while I step out into the night life, but it’s not for me.

I have a feeling this will be a fun semester! I look forward to working with you all.
